Hey there… Happy New Years. I hope all is well considering your frustration established in your issue 7 Dec 2017 newsletter I received on Jan 11, 2018 and Man I sympathize your stress. I totally commend your resilience and patience with the ignorance you are being subjected to. Justin, allow me to shed some logical rational. Yes, I remember the old forms that used to send out on your original form guaranteeing a pen pals. But First, the word “pen pal” was established in 1938 and means- a friend made and kept through correspondence. (Webster’s 9th New Collegiate Dictionary). Pen Pal could mean male or female which was never guaranteed nor how many correspondences a member would receive. As such, did you personally correspond several times or at least one with each member? Did you personally handwrite letters to each member? Therefore, my Friend…, you did guarantee a pen pal to each of your members. Maybe not in the sense of the ignorant mind of the complaining member- But in the reasonable prudent minds utilizing common sense… You did guarantee a pen pal to your members through your own handwritten correspondence.
