Gracefully Broken or Not…? By Demetria Mason
As I look around in these dare places. I look for the innocent faces. Shadows cast about near and far, reaching beyond our broken hearts. Every cause a scene. Illegal and castaways are just some of the names but beyond the skin we are one of the same. The greatest ruler above all said before him “we will all fall.” Love, integrity, passion we should share. For the effect of these three will clear the air.
Instead… we have hated! That shoot schools, concerts and bars. Who smiles with the victory under the stars? Border lines that crosses streets, terror in their hearts when they see defeat. People in need! Why can’t we see? A troublesome country they run from,” LET ME FLEE!” United States of America. “Land of the free!” Our border lines were breaking in 1803.
Love thy neighbor is the biggest clue, that we should follow to pull us through. Bring us closer so we can stand, to fight the sin that is within our hands.
Brown, black, white and ethics we see but in emergency situations it is blood we need. No color to choose from or sex to see. Just a bag picked to help us breath. All we know is we want to live! live! Live indeed!
Broken these nations is; fools we are if we do not believe we can change the world. One step, one lending hard and one voice to say I care no matter who or what you are.
Because every proud obstacle stops you from the greatest gift of all; Love in the horizon stars
The end
